Breaking: Historic city of Dessie and others liberated by Ethiopian forces

Ethiopian forces liberated several cities and towns, the government communication service announced Monday evening.

In coordination efforts of the Ethiopian National Defence Force, Fano, and militants of the Amhara and Afar regions defeated the TPLF forces that controlled Dessie, Kombolcha, and Bati towns for the last couple of months.

A week ago, when he went to lead his army at the front line, Prime Minister Abi Ahmed called TPLF militants to surrender or choose to die fighting.

Following this call, thousands of TPLF militants surrendered on many of the war fronts while the leaders of the group in Mekelle say they are retreating for technical changes.
