
Oromia Police, Oromia Special Forces, National Defense Forces and Federal Police have arrested 17 militants and 49 others in an operation carried out on the OLA group, according to the Oromia Police Commission.
The operation was reportedly successful and various weapons and ammunition used by the enemy were seized.
The Oromia Police Commission stated that several barrels of fuel, 2 generators and 7 motorcycles used by the terrorist group were seized.
It is also suggested that various electrical appliances, dishes and televisions be seized.
The commission also said that during the operation, an Isuzu truck with registration number 38A / A 79852 and an Isuzu vehicle with license plate number 33821 was seized as they were traveling from Addis Ababa to East Welega with 4,895 Clash and 22,132 Bren ammunition along with 4 truck loaders.
Two members of the group were also arrested on their way to Nekemte town after burying their Clash weapons.
